so far this probably the best Ethiopian restaurant I’ve been to in the city. . . . I think this place was the place that had the most flavor. I ordered the Beef Tibs and Lamb Tibs, both were great choices and with a side of the lentils. I will be adding this place to my rotation of restaurants I regularly go back to again and again.
My husband and I have been eating Ethiopian over 30 years, since our grad school days in DC, and across the country. We have been easily to over 20 Ethiopian restaurants, although all admittedly stateside. This was, by far, the best in freshness, flavor, and over all deliciousness . . . Highly recommend avocado salad and sampler for 2.
My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE ETHIOPIAN RESTAURANT IN NYC!!! Everything taste so flavorful and the service is spectacular! I order from here at least once a week because it’s that great!
Besides having some excellent hearty and spicy stews and tasty veggie dishes and the essential injera (meaning all the food we tried was yummy), they’re so nice and hospitable. They were very accommodating and helped us present an outside ice cream cake for a birthday, including freezing it until the end of the meal. A big table of us shared the veggie and meat combos with some extra doro wat.
